     First Division----Motor Vehicle Management:
　　 The department includes motor vehicle registration, inspection and
         title transfer.

     Second Division----Driver Management:
　　The department includes responsibility for registering and testing
        drivers,issuing driver's licences and updating license data. Drivers are
        divided into ordinary and professional categories. The licensing exam
        has two portions, a written test and a driving skills test.

    Third Division----Supervision of Public and Private Motor Transport Companies:
　　   The department is responsible for supervising bus operators to ensure
            that they operate in a reasonable manner .

    Forth Division----Handling of Traffic Violation Fines:
　    The department levies fines for traffic violations in accordance with
        standards set by the Statute on Traffic Violations and Road Management.
        For the convenience of the public, fines may be paid by postal transfer,
        credit card or by means of a telephone transfer of funds from a financial
        services card.
